Purpose:  Provide training and business facility to allow upstart ventures in NPU Y a professional atmosphere, operational management assistance, and administrative support to help grow their businesses.
Strategy: Utilize the NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur and workforce development training programs to provide skills training and sound business management practices through mentorships and career shadowing opportunities.

Vital Living Community
Park West/Vital Living Regeneration Initiative
VITAL LIVING CENTER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Fundraising Goal: $10 Million
Start Date: January 2008
Target Completion Date: January 2010

Purpose:  Develop a mixed use commercial, retail and residential model based on smart growth technologies and sustainable development where residents can live, work and play.
Strategy: Utilize the NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur and workforce development training programs patterned after the Atlantic Station brownfield re-development model.  This project builds upon the research and brownfield redevelopment recommendations presented by the Atlantic Regional Counsel (2008) on freight/industrial trafficking through NPU-H.
Benefactor: Residents of Adamsville Community (NPU-H)

Fuller Center NPU Y Initiative
Fuller Center NPU Y Initiative
HOUSING DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
(5 to 35 New Home Construction/Renovation )
Fundraising Goal: $250,000 (Grant-based initiative)
Start Date: July 2009
Target Completion Date: December 2009

Purpose:  The Fuller Center for Housing is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. By forming partnerships with local organizations, The Fuller Center provides the structure, guidance and support that communities need to build and repair homes for the impoverished among them.
Strategy: Utilize the NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur and workforce development training programs to provide skills training, job creation, and sound business management practices to assist with the renovations and construction of the new homes built by The Fuller Center.
Benefactor: Youth Entrepreneur Program & NPU Y current and future residents.
